NX Assembly Navigator: Why doesn't it scroll automatically?

NX Assembly Navigator: Why doesn't it scroll automatically?

(OP)
Hello All,
Before I ask my question, let me preface by saying that I never know if a particularly annoying idiosyncracy is the result of changes in the latest UG release or changes that have been implemented by the local Administrators.

Here's the question: When a component is selected on the screen, why doesn't the Navigator automatically scroll to the component and highlight it? As I recall, it used to be so. Currently, the component will highlight in the Navigator, but the automatic scrolling doesn't occur. Also, if the component is packed, you have to manually unpack to see the highlighted node.
I understand that the FIND COMPONENT tool will do all of this, but why do I have to make the extra picks to have this occur? Is there a way to have this functionality automatically?
