Need hpgl data pulled into UG NX3 drafting

Need hpgl data pulled into UG NX3 drafting

(OP)

Howdy-

My office is using Mentor DX Designer (Circuit card / schematic design) and UG NX3.  Don't ask why, but I need to be able to pull in schematic data from DX Designer and put it into a UG NX3 drawing (drafting).
Mentor only allows me to export to hpgl; not dxf or cgm.  I've thought about purchasing a converter, but I'm wondering if there is any trick  to IMPORT hpgl into UG NX3.

thoughts?

Jason

RE: Need hpgl data pulled into UG NX3 drafting

Hi,

Does Mentor DX Designer '.hpgl' have the capabilities to open in Adobe software products?  Adobe Illistrator seems to work well for convering different CAD systems to another CAD system.

Illistrator, in particular has 2 dozen or so convertiable or usable files that it can accept.

Hope that helps.
