Grip Programs

Grip Programs

Grip Programs

(OP)
Hi,

Where can I find some self-help or training material on grip programs.  I would like to create a grip program to link the title block with Teamcenter & it's been quite a while since I've done this.

Also, where can I find some info. on creating part families.

Thanks

RE: Grip Programs

Try the online docs, GTAC, and of course... Eng-tips forum.  :P

Actually, you don't need GRIP to link a model attribute to a note (even part of the drawing title block) on the face of the drawing.  It's been a while so I'm going from memory, but you in the annotation editor, you type <W@AttrbuteName> or something to that effect (or you can just use the editor to link to available attributes...).  I'm sure someone will pipe up with specifics...

CAD should pay for itself, shouldn't it?

RE: Grip Programs

SS is correct. Attributes can be put directly into annotation notes without a program.

I would not recommend GRIP as it has not been enhanced since V11, except for the new plotting routines in NX3. If you need to customize NX, use UG/Open or the new journaling.
