Does anyone have experience measuring convection coefficients using a heat flux sensor with an attached thermocouple and heat sink?

I have a mix tank and I'm trying to measure the convection coefficient on the inside of the tank wall.

I have placed an ice bath on the outside of the wall to generate heat flux through a 2 sq. ft. portion of the wall.

Inside the ice bath, I have attached a 1 inch square heat flux sensor (thermopile transducer)to the tank wall in the center of the ice bath. I'm hoping for one dimenensional radial conduction through the 3/8 inch A53 CS wall from the liquid in the tank to the ice water.

Next to the heat flux sensor is a themocouple to measure the exterior tank wall temperature.

My problemo is that I only notice a change in heat flux when I agitate the ice bath and see no change in heat flux when I agitate the tank.

I spoke with the rep and he told me to put the heat flux sensor on the inside of the tank.
