Ballpark Price for 1 Seat License?

Ballpark Price for 1 Seat License?

Ballpark Price for 1 Seat License?

(OP)
Hi there, I've contacted UGS but while I'm waiting I was wondering if anyone could tell me the ballpark price for 1 seat of basic Unigraphics / NX?

All I need it for is converting a Unigraphics models package into Solidworks-compatible models... We've done this before, lots of open file, save as, ect... but the license went with the customer and we're not sure we can get it back.

Also, as a follow up question, if we did get it back, I believe it is NX 2, does anyone know the cost associated with upgrading it to the latest version?

All I need are ballpark numbers for a proposal, so anything can help! ty.

RE: Ballpark Price for 1 Seat License?

Hello,
From my recent experience, you can expect the price to be around 10K for basic.
Good luck,
'ziner

Can't the NX files be sent to you as Parasolids and opened in Solidworks without the need for NX?  Both softwares use the same kernel.  If not, then I'd be asking for the bare minimum if you're just using NX for translating files.

In regards to getting NX2 updated to NX5, I believe you would have to pay all of the maintenance fees that weren't paid up to now before you would allowed to upgrade to NX5.  It may be just a percentage of the total though.  The UGS salesperson should be able to find that info out for you.
