Small company , and solid works

(OP)
Hello everybody,

I would like to ask you for help, we have small company 7 computers(solid works 2006 office), one computers of them work like server also like workstation, on this computers we have solidworks templates, shared toolbox and files (asemblies, parts, drawings),we have 100Mb network.

-but when we wokring with bigger assemblies, work with solidworks rapidly decrease , how can we increase our work speed ?

thank you very much

RE: Small company , and solid works

This could be your actually PC, what are the specs (include Video Card and VC drivers).

IF you are not working locally then this could be the other bottle neck. Try coping your assemblies locally and see if your speed is better. If so, then your network is the problem. There isn't much you can do about that, but upgrade your entire network, or consider getting PDMworks.

RE: Small company , and solid works

I agree with "SBaugh".  I am sure it is a combination of both a slow down on the server machine as well as you local machines, but resolving the worst of the two evils would be a good start.
