AutoCad hatching problem!

AutoCad hatching problem!

AutoCad hatching problem!

(OP)
I'm trying to hatch an object in an AutoCAD file. The hatch pattern I'm trying to use is "AR-CONC". Now normally when I use this pattern everything comes out fine, but in the file I'm working in every time I try to use this pattern (or any with complete circular objects) these objects are not coming out whole! The right sides of all these representations are broken ...or incomplete. I seem to remember years ago this problem ...but can't remember the fix. ANYBODY have a clue as to what's going on, and how to fix it? THX!

RE: AutoCad hatching problem!

Depending on what version you're running, SNAPBASE or HPORIGIN should fix your problem. If your version is older (Before 2006 I think) move your Snapbase somewhere near the area you want to hatch. If it's a newer version set your Hatch Origin to "Default to boundary extents".

RE: AutoCad hatching problem!

The problem arises because of "large" coordinates (say > 1,000,000).  Can be fixed in earlier versions by changing value of SNAPBASE, or creating a new origin(UCS), nearer to the work area.  Beginning in 2007(?) there's a hatch setting regarding coordinate base that also cures this.
