I had to reinstall Catia, but a little more that half way thru it quits and tells me to look at the cxinst.log file.

At the end of the log it just says "transfer failure".
That doesn't really explain much.

Has anyone had this problem?
How did you fix it

Sounds like a media problem - is your CD scratched?

No it's not, I hear that there have been problem with this but, I have come across a solution.

Make sure you don't have any virus detection software running.  Several of them cause the Catia install to crash around 51% or so.
