low flow rate centrifugal pump

low flow rate centrifugal pump

low flow rate centrifugal pump

(OP)
i am looking for manufacturer who produce centrifugal pump at 3 gpm which can be used as dosing pump how ever i can not use metering from Milton roy pumps as system is pulsation sensitive. is any body aware of any manufacturer who produces low flow rate centrifugal pumps?

RE: low flow rate centrifugal pump

Depending on your specific head requirements, many manufacturers make low flow pumps....Goulds has a LF3196 that can do 1 gpm; efficiency is terrible, but since hp is low, it's not a huge hp loss.

If you're looking for an ANSI design pump, pretty much all of the big names have a similar design.

RE: low flow rate centrifugal pump

What is the head (pressure) required?

RE: low flow rate centrifugal pump

(OP)
required head is 75 psi

RE: low flow rate centrifugal pump

The miton roy (or other such pumps) pump will not have a pulsation if you are mixing 3 gpm with 100 gpm.  One version of the milton pump has a very long stroke and slow rpm.

RE: low flow rate centrifugal pump

As tenpenny has pointed out - any of the ANSI or similar pump models / manufacturers can achoieve this duty for you.

RE: low flow rate centrifugal pump

IF YOU WANT TO GET 3GPM @ 75PSI WITHOUT PULSATION AND A CONSTANT FLOW RATE THE BEST PUMP TO USE WOULD BE A PROGRESSIVE CAVITY PUMP. IT WILL WORK MUCH BETTER THAN A CENTRIFUGAL IN SUCH LOW FLOWS AND HIGH PRESSURES. WHAT IS THE PRODUCT YOU ARE PUMPING, TEMPERATURES, ARE THERE SOLIDS?

RE: low flow rate centrifugal pump

You might look at Viking, a maker of rotary pumps. They would be especially suitable for higher viscosity liquids.

RE: low flow rate centrifugal pump

Or a regenerative turbine pump - specifically designed for low flow/high head.  Cheap as chips, great little pumps, reliable as i dont know what.

visit www.cdrpumps.co.uk for a look !!

RE: low flow rate centrifugal pump

You may want to try Sundyne Pump.  They're generally high head, low flow.

RE: low flow rate centrifugal pump

Rotaryguy,
Centrifugal pump should be always the first shot, but
no always can meet any rated point.
