Does anyone have any recommendations for piping system modelling software?

I have heard of Pipe-Flo from Engineered Software and Fathom from Applied Flow Technology but I have never used any so I am looking for advice on what to purchase.

Thanks

RE: Software Recommendations

Some of my shipbuilder friends use AFT-Fathom.

I have used Atkinsopht Streamlines on simple systems with good results.

Why purchase?

You might try EPANET.  Its free, so if you don't like it, nothing lost but some learning curve time which will probably help you in any other program you choose later.

RE: Software Recommendations

I use AFT Fathom and Impulse. Suggest you download a demo and have a play from www.aft.com. The support is excellent and is from engineers not computer nerds. These guys used to be with NASA so they are very cluey on industrial applications.
