endind a STEP upon reaching a predefined displacement/reaction force

(OP)

Hello

My /Explicit analysis consists of two steps.

The first applies a load by means of displacing the free end of a restrained structure.

I need the analysis to progress to step 2 only when the reaction force at the restraints has reached a predetermined value (i.e. the displacement needed to generate this reaction is not known in advance).

Is there a way of doing this?

I need to analyse very many designs of different stiffness with this method and prefer to avoid using a preliminary static analysis to find the required displacement because this would affect considerably the running times

Thanks
