Does anyone have a code reference for deflection limitation for a loadbearing Wood stud wall backing brick veneer?  thanks.

RE: Wood stud wall backing brick veneer deflection limitation

What code are you designing to?  BIA suggests a deflection criteria of L/600.  IBC states L/240 for brittle veneer.  Which ever criteria you use, the IBC and the FBC let you multiply the lateral load by 0.7 when calculating deflections. Hope this helps.

I should clarify lateral load DUE TO WIND.
