Mirrored Sheet Metal Parts

Mirrored Sheet Metal Parts

Mirrored Sheet Metal Parts

(OP)
Hi all,

I have a sheet metal plate that I have created a mirrored part of. The profile and main hole patterns are the same but there may be some different machining details for each piece.

The problem is that when you create the mirror part you lose the bend lines and sheet metal information, so I'm trying to figure out how to create a development of the mirrored piece.

My only idea so far is to created a base sketch part to insert into two different files so that the profile and main hole pattern is driven in one file, while I'll have two separate sheet metal parts that I can unfold and see the bend lines.

Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance

Never mind.

Configurations with Configuration specific properties would work perfectly.

RE: Mirrored Sheet Metal Parts

Another method I use is to create the mirrored part.  Open the new mirrored part file then insert bends under the sheet metal menu.  This will make the part a sheet metal part with bend information that can be flattend etc.
