The steel pylons that march across the beautiful English countryside have 400Kv circuits. I was wondering how these are arranged in terms of order on the pylons and termination at source and destination.

RE: HV transmission, conductor arrangement.

Very few are 400kV most are 275/132. The arrangment is three phase each side with the top wire earth. They usually terminate straight to a transfomer. Is that what you wanted?

Powrgn,

Thanks, I was wondering was it RYB in any specific order, what purpose the dual circuit other than integrity, are the lines terminated into 2 separate transformers etc.
