I'm an engineer working on a manufactuiring plant for surface mount capacitors.
I am currenly working on the introduction of a cooper base metal alloy with lead-free Sn plating for the leads of the capacitors.
 
Lead attachment is made by resistance welding with linear DC machines from Miyachi. Electrodes Cr-Cu II on top & bottom.
 
I've experienced some problems trying to weld the new alloy (wires sticking to electrodes, overheating, etc) and I've been told to use a high frequency inverter machine instead.

Does anybody have experience with high frequency welders? Can you recommend any?
