Global Variables

Global Variables

(OP)
I've experimented with Global Variables and through trial and error have gotten them to work for what I wanted to do.
The question is:  what is meant by "Global" ?  Does this apply ONLY to the parts in a specific assembly ?

That seems to be the case, but it's not really defined in the Help page.

When I model up a New Part, (seperate from the a'y) the Variable that I had established for previous part(s) does not show up on the New Part FT

If the Variable is to be used on New Parts (some other a'y), where or how does one find the value?

RE: Global Variables

It is only global for the document in which it was created.
