If I cut an 11-7/8" 6 stub acme-2g-lh double lead external thread will it screw into an 11-7/8" 6 stub acme single lead internal thread twice as fast?

No.  The internal thread has to also have two starts or the parts won't mate.  The two starts are independent helixes and each must have its own independent path through the nut.
