Sand removal from wellstream upstream separator

Sand removal from wellstream upstream separator

Sand removal from wellstream upstream separator

(OP)
Hi,

I'm currently looking into sand removal from a gas/condensate wellstream. I want to prevent the sand to enter the separator, hence I would like some advice on upstream sand removal. And to up the ante; the separator is subsea ;)

1. Anyone know any methods for efficient upstream sand removal? Doesn't need to be subsea today, my company can help in marinizing the method.
2. I've made a google search and found a couple of companies providing solutions;
a; Mozley wellspin desanding hydrocyclones:
http://www.natcogroup.com/Content.asp?t=ProductPage&ProductID=80
b; Merpro Tore Trap:
http://www.merpro.com/section.php?page=desanding
If anyone has any experience or input regarding these please let me know.

Thanks,
Magnus
