hi every one
IS THERE ANY PROBLEM TO OPERATE A DISTRIBUTION POLE MOUNTENED TRANSFORMER WITH ALMOST NO LOAD?
if possible can any one eplaine that for me or give me a web site that could be useful

RE: pole mountened transformer

I can't see any problem from an electrical viewpoint. From an operating viewpoint:

Slightly added electricity costs.
If been used on a relative large network with basic protection added equipment might make faultfinding more complicated - in such a case I would rather keep unnecessary equipment down.

on the other hand

I would rather keep it energized if you have problems like copper theft. Also, if oilfilled, I would rather let it be energized - it keeps the oil soaked and the moisture out.

RE: pole mountened transformer

What type of problems do you think there might be?

The transformer core losses will cost money, but I don't really see any other significant concerns.
