Steel Angles - Major and minor Axes properties
Steel Angles - Major and minor Axes properties
(OP)
Does anyone know where I can find a table giving the major and minor axes properties for Angles?
The manual of steel construction only gives rz from which I can calculate Iz and Iw, but calculating the distances to centroids (and therefore Sz and Sw)is a real pain.

RE: Steel Angles - Major and minor Axes properties
In New Zealand and Australia, it is typically suppliers who will provide property tables; I actually have a very good on from Steel & Tube.
Just had to point out that you can't assume that everyoe will know the context you're speaking from when you're posting to the internet.
Will check back to see if I can be of help.

It is the USA steel sections that I am looking for the properties for. I cant seem to find section properties on the canadian site.
In NZ/Australia it is easy to find the info I am looking for.
When does skiing season start over there?

Sz is in the 13th Edition Manual.
I did hear that these are being revised for the 14th Ed. Manual, though. Apparently, the assumed leg tip radius makes a surprisingly large difference in Sz.
