Temperature un thermoforming

Temperature un thermoforming

(OP)
Hi,

I'm trying to optimize the thermoforming department in the factory where I'm working. I need to choose at which temperature the oven as to be set and how long we have to put the plastic in. I'm wondering if there's a formula or a easy way to found the temperature inside the plastic sheet upon the time if the temperature in the oven is stable and the plastic specification are none?

Thanks

Alex

RE: Temperature un thermoforming

The time will depend on the thickness and temperature.

The temperature will depend on the polymer type.

The supplier of the plastic sheet should be able to specify a maximum temperature.
