DIMENSION DISPLAY

DIMENSION DISPLAY

DIMENSION DISPLAY

(OP)
Be it inferred dimensions or not, whenever they are set, they ARE NOT VISIBLE, when you place your mouse over one of them they are highlited, when you take the mouse off they dissapear into the backround, I've allready tried the retain dimension thing but it doesnt work, may be something in the display, I was having a similar problem with the constraints, honestly, don't have a clue what to do, PLEASE HELP!

RE: DIMENSION DISPLAY

Sounds like you are having some strange problems with sketch dimensions, constraints, etc. Some more information would help us help you. What version of UG? What OS are you using? and Are you on certified hardware?

RE: DIMENSION DISPLAY

N.X 4.0.0.25
OS Windows NT 5.1 (workstation)(build 2600: service pack 2)
Certified hardware? yes it is certified software.

RE: DIMENSION DISPLAY

Sounds like an old/non-certified graphics driver issue.

All the high-end CAD software is pretty sensitive to video hardware and drivers.  You should check the UGS site for the supported driver version for your specific video card.

We had sporadic graphics issues like you until we all upgraded our video drivers.

I would also highly recommend you install one of the NX4 maintenance releases.

RE: DIMENSION DISPLAY

This might also solve your constraint problems as well.  Make sure that your Dimension color (which also controls the color of constraint symbols) is set to something that you can actually see against your background.  To set the Sketch Dimension/Symbol color, while in the Sketch task, go to Perferences -> Sketch... and select the tab labeled 'Colors'.
