Importing autocad LT

Importing autocad LT

Importing autocad LT

(OP)
Ive got lots (thousands) of drawings in LT and am moving to SE. Unfortunatly this means that LT will be removed from our computers (something to do with IT admin issues) and i still need to be able to amend the drawings. I haveb tried importing the cad drawing but all i get is a blank screen. HOWEVER, when i flick between the background layer and the sheet i can briefly see the drawing i want.

Any ideas?

RE: Importing autocad LT

Hi,

not a wise decision to remove *all* Lt seats at least one
should be left until all LT drawings are either obsolete
or have been successfully converted to SE.

But:
- switch to Layout (the empty screen)
- Click on '2D Model View'
- now you are in the 'Model Space' and the you should have
a cross-hair cursor the follows the mouse
  - click on the upper left corner
  - click on the lower right corner

- now your back in 'Layout' place your view which you can now
scale. Modifications, however, can only be done on the
2D-Model sheet but will be reflected with in the Layout

The '2D-model' sheet = ModelSpace in LT
The Layout sheet     = Layout/Viewport in LT
