What is the best civil add-on for AutoCAD?

What is the best civil add-on for AutoCAD?

(OP)
Hello all,

I am trying to decide what is the best CAD add-on program for my purposes.  I am a landscape architect and up to this point I have been just using plain old AutoCAD to do all of my grading plans, road profiles, detention pond design, etc, etc.  I have very limited knowledge of the capabilities of add on programs like CivalCAD, LandCAD, and Easy Surf.

What programs should I be looking into for what I'm doing?
What are the advantages an disadvantages of the programs you use?

Thanks for the input!!!

RE: What is the best civil add-on for AutoCAD?

LAs I've worked with in the past have used Eaglepoint or LandCAD for the types of tasks you describe.  Civils in our office use Eaglepoint.  I don't know the relative pros/cons but I would look at Eaglepoint as you shop around.

LDD is tops for subdivision design.
