What type of bolt or rivet

What type of bolt or rivet

RE: What type of bolt or rivet

It looks to me that die cast pins integral to the housing are swaged to hold the cover on.  If this is the case, I'd have a machine shop mill these heads off.

RE: What type of bolt or rivet

chu77, you planning on reassembly?

(OP)
Yes I plan on reassembly, is there a way of taking it out and putting it back on?

RE: What type of bolt or rivet

Well, to get it apart, it looks like you could machine, drill, grind, or chisel the upset head shown in the photo. To reassemble, you might have to drill and tap if it's a boss, or replace if it's a rivet. Hard to tell exact details. You may have to discover how it's made and then come up with a plan for reassembly. Welding may be an option.

Good luck,

Mike
