I am trying to determine what is meant by "coefficient of structural stability" and "coefficient of structural resistance".  What are acceptable values for these?

RE: Stability

Are these quotes from a particular reference?  Some context is needed...

If you "heard" it on the internet, it's guilty until proven innocent. - DCS

RE: Stability

They are outputs from an Algor structural analysis software.

RE: Stability

The Coefficient of Structural Stability sounds like the ratio of nonlinear deflection to linear deflection, but there's no way to be sure without digging through your software manual.

RE: Stability

I don't have a manual.

RE: Stability

Unless somebody here answers, my only other idea is to call tech support.  Gotta figure it out somehow.

RE: Stability

I didn't know Al Gore wrote software. Just kidding!

RE: Stability

(OP)
Algor could not help.

RE: Stability

Hmm, lets see, you are running a FE code with no manual and the vendor can't answer a simple question about what their code outputs.  Sounds like you need to purchase a different code with documentation and support.
