Low Volume Plotter

Low Volume Plotter

(OP)
Hi All,

I've never had to select a printer for an machine shop before and it seems a bit daunting.

I'm working for a shop that is going to be adding a Mechanical Designer to it's staff. It will only need to be a low volume printer as there will only be one designer using it and the shop is working on one project at a time.

Most of the drawings will be A or B size, but the odd one will be a D size.

Where do I begin?

Specs, Intel Pentium M 2.16 Mhz
SW 2007 R2.2
1.5 Gb Ram
NVidia GE Force GO 6800 256Mb

RE: Low Volume Plotter

You will eventually need to engage a guy who services plotters.  Do it now.  He'll probably have a decent used unit, and may offer a warranty with it.
