Valves, flanges & fittings CAD drawings
Valves, flanges & fittings CAD drawings
(OP)
Hi everybody!
Does somebody know where can I find CAD 2D free downloadable drawings of valves and fittings? what I need now is just class 150 and 300 ANSI fittings... gate valve, globe valve, check valve, WN flanges, elbow, tee, and so on... for oil field application...
I've been looking for this on the internet but unsuccessfully... Thanks in advance,
Heyner

I ordered the DVD.
I can't quite figure out how to download these things yet. Let me know if you're successful.

The tracepartsonline web site simply needs a registration which is free. Once you have signed in you can then add the individual components to your "caddy" and select the drawing format you need then they are all sent as a zip file by email to the address that you registered with.
I have used them a few times and they seem pretty good. I used them for European flanges, saved me a whole load of time not having to draw PN16 flanges both 3D and 2D.

I've found a few valves for waterworks service online, but using them may require scaling up or down (IE, scaling up 6" valve for an 8", etc), or adding flanges to an unflanged valve, etc. Even then, they're good for general appearance, but not necessarily for details, some of which will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. You might check with the manufacturers that you actually buy from.
McMaster-Carr has quite a few items available in CAD drawings, although I'm not aware of specific valves that are available. They tend to carry more in the smaller sizes, also.

There is a better way to share files with all your friends at once. Upload and post any file you want to share at a web fileserver such as,
www.rapidshare.com
The server will give you a link to the shared document, which you can publish to a forum or e-mail to anyone you like. Clicking on such a link will open the rapidshare webpage to the shared document. Click on "Free". The person that wishes to download the file must then re-type a computer generated picture of a 4 character verification code shownb on the page and then click download to start transmission.
