Asset Management Software

Asset Management Software

(OP)
Hello,

I am looking for Asset Management software - Oil&Gas industry, and power generation.
In order to liaise with accounting, manage stocks and purchase orders(mainly for spare parts), technical maintenance work orders, spare part list for intervention, preventive maintenance work order.

Any idea or experience ?

Best Regards

Robert

RE: Asset Management Software

A couple of possibilities?  I did a search using "facilities maintenance software".  I have no experience with these types of programs but they seem similar to MRP/ERP systems.  If a facility you support utilizes a MRP/ERP system already, perhaps there is a module for it that exists or can be created for facilities mangagement.

RE: Asset Management Software

You need to scope out in fine detail exactly what each user wants from the package as an ideal wish list; a vision of the future.
Then study the available packages in detail to see how they handle each item.
If your list is prioritised you can weight and rank the functionality of the different packages and modules along with how much you want to spend. There will always be some sort of compromise.
Compatability and interfacing with current software programs should also be in there to avoid parallel systems and duplication.
The bigger type ERP packages that i have seen and worked with.
