Showing weldment properties in Indented BOM?

Showing weldment properties in Indented BOM?

Showing weldment properties in Indented BOM?

(OP)
If I wanted to run a indented BOM  in the main assembly of a job (so I can see all the quantities, properties of everything in the job) is there any way I can show the properties of the weldments within the job as well.

IE: I have a large tube frame in one of the sub assy's of the job and I want all the cut list items of that tube weldment to appear in the main assy indented BOM instead of just the description field of that tube weldment part file which might say something like 'tube weldment'.

There must be a way to do this ...

RE: Showing weldment properties in Indented BOM?

I've been tackling the same sort of problem. The only way I've found so far is to do a separate detail of the weldment and simply copy and paste the cut list into your assembly drawing.

Fairly crude but it works.

Specs, Intel Pentium M 2.16 Mhz
SW 2007 R2.2
1.5 Gb Ram
NVidia GE Force GO 6800 256Mb

Yeah I agree, that's a work around but for a large assembly it would be a real pain.
