Autocad 2004- Cannot select viewport line

Autocad 2004- Cannot select viewport line

(OP)
I'm using version 2004.  I've got two viewports in paperspace, and in the last 20 minutes I've become unable to select the viewport to move, stretch, erase, or anything.  Any thoughts?

RE: Autocad 2004- Cannot select viewport line

blawson,

on which layer did you drawn the viewports? "Defpoints"? -> Thaw the layer "0" (null/zero)

Hi blawson,

In addition to Lothar's suggestions, make sure you didn't inadvertently lock the viewport.

RE: Autocad 2004- Cannot select viewport line

Locking the viewport (which is a great thing to do) does not affect whether the viewport can be selected.  It must have been placed on a layer that is frozen or turned off.

RE: Autocad 2004- Cannot select viewport line

It may be behind another viewport.  A larger viewport that totally surrounds a smaller viewport will make the smaller one completely untouchable.

Follow up for IFR's, if it is a viewport located completely inside another, use Control-R to toggle between the viewports
