When I write in a duration of 5 days I get dates from monday to monday next week. That's fine. When I do the same for 10 days I get to tuesday the following week and so on to wednesday for 15 days. Same applies if I use 1 week or 2 weeks.

There are no extra free days in between, using a standard calendar. I am using a norwegian version (Project 2003).

Why is this happening. I thought a week was 5 days (working).

Cheers. Sean.

Your first answer is incorrect.  Starting on Monday 0800, 5 days ends at 1700 Friday.  You should check the actual starting TIME in addition to the DAY.

Spot on - for some reason my default calendar is set from 8:30 to 16:00 - not even normal working time for Norway. Odd.

However when I create a new calendar I can't get it to give me everyday set to 8 - 17 as default (with weekends off), even though that is the default in Options - and that is using Project 2003 at home - English version.

How do I get a proper default set up? (simple questions I know)

Cheers. Sean.

Does the Change Working Time in Tools not change the working time like it's supposed to?  It's also in the Options|Calendar dialog.

It does but when you have to change it for a years duration it seems that there maybe a better way to do it globaly. A quick fix was to change the number of hours in a day in options to 7 1/2 which suited the mess in the default calendar.

Thanks for the help.

Cheers. Sean.
