2 channel input 2 bit binary ouput

this is for a programmable controller.
in order to select 1 of 4 available programs, we need to have a 4 position rotary switch and provide 00 01 10 11 binary output.

of course the controller supplier cannot specifically tell us what to purchase

i have looked a rotary BCD's rotary dips etc

any help would be appreciated

thanks

Paul

RE: 2 channel input 2 bit binary ouput

You could purchase a rotary switch (2 pole, 4 position) and wire up some diodes and pull-up resistors to make your own binary-output rotary switch.

I didn't get why you think you need diodes. It's just a straight forward 2 pole 4 way rotary switch and two pull-up resistors.

RE: 2 channel input 2 bit binary ouput

Ah... The diodes are, ah, my normal fee for wiring up the, ah, two pull-up resistors and one rotary switch.  wiggle
