Hello Group,

When I was on the USS Roosevelt, the munitions handelers would load the fuel tanks and munitions under the wings of the fixed wing aircrafts using a 4 or more wheeled dolly that had a craddle area to hold the tank/weapon while being lifted up to the wing.  Does anyone know what the dolly is called?

I believe your are referring to an MHU, (Munitions handling unit?) A google search for MHU-12 will give you some pictures to see if this is what you had in mind.  

I have also heard these referred to as MHE, so maybe try that search if MHU doesn't turn up anything.
