when sketching sometimes ill run across a line that cant be modified. happens usually when the line is obtained via convert entities command. I know its probably something really simple and I run into this kinda thing every once in a while so i thought id ask this time.

Try to first grab & drag the endpoint off, then see if you can do anything with it.

Once you grab one of the converted end points and move it off its reference, you can then use the trim/extend command on it.

You have an open sketch and have used the "convert entities" command to create a line in the sketch. correct?
Can you then drag the converted endpoint?
What about using the "split entity" command on the line, delete a segment, and then extend the remaining segment?

If you ae using the "convert entities" command on multiple edges on once, common endpoints will be constrained to each other.
