Rectangular flange design

(OP)
Need to calculate a rectangular flange.
Currently I use the HEI method, for full-face flanges.

I've seen on the forum that others use:
Marbec method called Nodal Circle Method
BLACH

Where can i find this methods?

thanks.

RE: Rectangular flange design

I am facing the same situation but I don't know the HEI method.
Do you know where can I find it?

Thanks

Renato

RE: Rectangular flange design

Check out Enquiry Case No. 5500/133 (Subject: Flat unstayed ends of non-circular shape and associated flanges) of PD 5500. It contains guidelines for calculating forces, moments & moment arms, bolting loads and flange thickness of rectangular flanges.
