is valid to use ASME II Ed. 2001 for A234 Gr. WPB?

I am checking material certificates of forged accesories (ASTM SA-234 Gr. WPB) where all are referenced to ASME II Ed. 2001.

Can the vendor issue a certificate with an old revision of the ASME II Part. A code?

Is it mandatory to use the last revision of the code (Ed 2004)? Could I reject all certificates?

I was reading The ASME Code Cases but I could not find any question about this.

Thanking to all in advance.
