Help with Dynamic Analysis

Help with Dynamic Analysis

(OP)
I have created a model in which the force on a point increses over the time of my analysis. I have modelled this by creating a number of forces which I apply at certain times. These forces move parts of the mechanism upwards against gravity.

When I run the dynamic analysis the results show the mechanism moving to a point roughly where it should settle and then return to its origional position over a period of around 2 seconds. For a 10 second analysis, the mechanism resonates back an forth in a smooth motion.

I would expect the model to remain in a position or increse in height against gravity as the force being applied is increasing with time.

Is this how Pro-E shows this effect or am I applying the forces incorrectly. Can anyone tell me how I can change this to give a more realistic result.

Thanks in anticipation
