Decals in 3D pdf?

Decals in 3D pdf?

Has anyone been able to get this to work?

RE: Decals in 3D pdf?

Hello sdb999,

How are you creating the 3D PDF? Are you using Acrobat 3D?

cheers,

File Save As, PDF with the 3D option using standard out of the box decals.  eDrawings will not do it so this is my last option.

RE: Decals in 3D pdf?

Where you're talking about Acrobat 3D, I'm going to assume that you want to be able to manipulate the decal in a 3D PDF. If this is the case then you'll want to open Acrobat and bring the decal in as a part. Acrobat will walk you through the necessary steps. My computer is hosed, so I can't do it right now.

RE: Decals in 3D pdf?

Hello sdb999,

I think Jeff is right. You can save as a 3D PDF from SolidWorks, but it looks like you need Acrobat 3D to add a decal. Are you using PhotoWorks decals?

cheers,
