Vault Question

Vault Question

Vault Question

(OP)
I'm using the Vault software with the vault located on the server.  I have a couple questions / problems...

1.  I was using the "add project" from the vault in Inventor file menu to get stuff into the vault.  It stopped working and when I do the add project thing now, It scans my local side and doesn't put anything in...

What am I doing wrong?

2.  What is the best way to get files into the vault?  Is there a good resource that explains vault stuff simply?

Thanks...

RE: Vault Question

When you finish making your change(s), save and click on the "Model" button on the top of the window where your tree is. If you are in the correct project (C:\Vault...) then you will have a pull down selection for "Vault." When you select it you will then see the file name and you'll see that it needs updating. Right-click on the file name and "Add Files." This is the process I use to get my stuff into the vault.

By the way, no there is not a good resource for vault or productstream that I know of.

Thanks... that worked out perfectly.  I appreciate the help

RE: Vault Question

The only Vault resource that I know if a 121 page pdf file that can be accessed (in 2008) by launching productstream and when the Welcome window comes up, click Learn More. Then on the right side click on 'Managing you Data'.
