I have set up a Westermo GDo1 GSM Modem which then links from the RS232 to a Westermo ED20 to get me on the Ehernet Network to enable us to remotely monitor a Logix 5000 Plc controller and Panelview Plus Hmi.

My question is has anyone had any application experiance to send a text message from the Westermo modem via the Ehernet network. The reason is to enable me to send a text message every so often to keep the Pay As You Go Simm card in operation.

Any help would be appriciated.

RE: Westermo GSM

Hi!

You are lucky. I just talked to Mr Westermo himself. He says:

1. Yes - no probs.
2. There's a CD that comes with the product, have a look at the application notes.
3. Have a look at the home page http://www.westermo.co.uk/
4. If that doesn't get you there, phone Ray in Southampton
+44 (0)1489 580585 and tell him that Tore sent you.

But, as said before, it should work right out of the box.
