Catalog Help

Is it possible to store 2D views that don't have a 3D association in the Catia Catalog for quick drag and drop into a drawing. To be more specific we have 2D Details that dont have an association attached to them and we want to be able to store them in the catalog so that it's an easy place to drop them into our drawings.

RE: Catalog Help

yes that would be 2d detail views stored in a catalog.

look up detail sheets
saving details in catalogs (file saveas catalog)

Thanks for the help. Appearently our company doesn't have the correct module to do this.

RE: Catalog Help

Hi,

PetreGuy is right with his advice and you don't need any specific licence for this.

In a CATDrawing follow these steps:

Insert - Drawing - Sheets - New Detail Sheet

Copy what you want on that Detail Sheet (or more Detail Sheets). Each Detail Sheet will become a chapter when you will save that CATDrawing as catalog.

Then you can use that catalogue in the same way like any 3D or 2D catalog.

Regards
Fernando
