Mov calculation

(OP)
I am having issues on one machine with 24v dc outputs going bad on a Micrologics 1000. I am controling solenoid coils and I expect the problem bay be coming from the coil closing.I do have 1.5A fuses and my outputs are rated at 2A I would like to put an MOV in line to protect my outputs. how do I calculate the correct MOV to use ?

RE: Mov calculation

since its 24vdc it would be an mov 24vdc.  but since its a dc coil you can also use a diode across the coil.
