Steel Information Needed

Does anyone have information on general structural steel used in Canada from about 1940 to 1960? and the weldability of same? or a source of this information?

RE: Steel Information Needed

dik, Here in the states we have the AISC Design Guide 15 which lists quite a number of old steel shapes and the mill history of various steel shape groups.  I would think that two things are possible here: 1) Many of the shapes listed in that document were sold in Canada and 2) Would Canada's steel authority (don't know the organization) have a similar document?
