Pump re-design

Pump re-design

Pump re-design

(OP)
Hi everyone,

I need to redesign a 10 gpm @ 1540 psig sump pump cos ' it is undersize. I’ve requested the maintenance history but for some reason the operators are unable to provide so far, this makes it difficult to judge if it is really an efficiency problem or an integrity issue.

Have anyone experienced similar situation? And could give me a few tips on that.

Thank you.

thanks for the reply BigInch,

redesign it to increase the efficiency if, that's what do you mean.

thanks

RE: Pump re-design

First guess would be to see if its operating at its BEP flowrate or not.  A lot of the time a pump will be operating far away from its BEP.
