Chemical reaction of steam and other hydrocarbons

Chemical reaction of steam and other hydrocarbons

Chemical reaction of steam and other hydrocarbons

(OP)
I would like to know the possibilty of chemical reforming
of hydrocarbons present after combustion with high pressure and steam at different temps. Could co,co2,and nox be reformed into heavier percipitates that could be scrubbed
for cleaner emissions

RE: Chemical reaction of steam and other hydrocarbons

You should give more detail..It is difficult to understand what you relly want to know...

RE: Chemical reaction of steam and other hydrocarbons

(OP)
If water is injected and flashed to steam in the recompression of exhaust gases in otto cycle engine, what are the repercussions of this. Water gas reforming? I am looking for the reaction to reduce pollutants to a form that can seperated from the exhaust that consists of steam and other carbons. Condensing the steam to water for recirculation, some hydrogen, some co2. What would heavy PM become in a ci engine

RE: Chemical reaction of steam and other hydrocarbons

Are you aware of the fact that water is one of the combustion products of hydrocarbons ?
