Software for creating elec. one line drawings from load list.

(OP)
All,

Dont know if this is the right forum or not but here we go.
I am also not an electrical guy, just been tasked with helping find something for the EE.

I am looking for a software that can take a load list, calculate out the total connected load, do a parasitic summary, and then draw the electrical one line diagram in AutoCAD (preferably).  Anything else it does would be icing on the cake.  I would prefer it to not be a database that sits inside of AutoCAD.  Something one-directional would be fine.

I am looking for something generic, not tied to one vendor; as we often use different vendors from project to project.

We are process skid manufacturing firm, so the range of equipment can vary quite a lot.  The loads can be in 60 HZ or 50HZ and for example one piece of equipment we are using currently is connected at 1724 KW(don't know if this matters, just trying to give an idea of our equipment.)
We also have MCC lineups, pumps, and other auxillary equipment.

I tried doing a search on google, but didn't know where to start.

If this isn't enough information, please let me know.

Thanks

Zuccus

RE: Software for creating elec. one line drawings from load list.

Actually, if you have the MCC data in tabular form, you don't really need a one-line.

An analysis program like EasyPower (www.easypower.com) or SKM (http://www.skm.com/) can provide you will at least the tabular data and load calculations that you are looking for.

I suspect there are quite a few third-party AutoCAD apps, but it's been a few years since I've dealt with this.

You can check with these guys if you're willing to use MicroStation:
