PDMWorks Workgroup Login

I've upgraded the vault to 2007 and now I have to manually log in even though the Force Login box in the admin is NOT checked. Anyone else run into this?

(This same problem was posted on the SW PDMWorks forum but no one has responded with a solution).

I have called my VAR and he will be sumitting a request to SW.

RE: PDMWorks Workgroup Login

Yeah mine requires me to log in every time when I start a new SW session, but it remembers my name and password so I don't see that big of a nuisance because I click "login" then "login" again and I am in.

Agreed, not that big of a deal but shouldn't be a deal at all. When I get it resolved, I will post the outcome.

RE: PDMWorks Workgroup Login

I've never had that issue.  I wonder what I'm doing differently...?  I have the "Save password" box checked in the PDMW client, but I assume you guys know about that already.

RE: PDMWorks Workgroup Login

I noticed this after having two vaults, or changing where the vault was.  After updating to SP3.1 it's back to normal.

don't know, but I've seen it also.

Try turning off the Addin, exit out of solidworks, then start back up and turn the addin back on.

No difference. (I am on SP3.1 by the way)
I wonder, are all the people in this thread who have noticed this issue Admins? Out of curiosity, I'm going to change one of my users (whose not having this login issue) to Admin and see what happens.

RE: PDMWorks Workgroup Login

Finethread,
You do not need to change the user. Just give him new login with admin writes. He can use the same password.

Now I'm seeing the same issue with non-admins as well.
Odd

RE: PDMWorks Workgroup Login

I found out what is causing this or more accurately, I found out (purely by accident) how to fix it.

Open SolidWorks Explorer, go to the add-in tab, and check PDMWorkgroup. Once you log into PDMWorks from SW Explorer, not only does Explorer remember your login, but the next time you open SW, bingo.....
