RE: Journaling in NX3/4/5

uwam2ie,

the doc about NX .NET is nearly inesistant (I miss the well organised and illustrated GRIP doc) !
There are some examples in UGOPEN\SampleNXOpenApplications\.NET and on the little GTAC on line library site but that does not remove the impression that their ".NET for NX" code is top complicated ...

Hope it helps.

RE: Journaling in NX3/4/5

If you want to use a simple input box the NXInputBox is the easiest.
If you know your way round VB.Net you can create your own from scratch.
I ended up doing this for input and selection boxes as I couldn't find some functionality that I wanted (like more than one option in an option box or having "BACK" "CANCEL" and "OK" buttons).
I managed to do a lot of this to start off with only notepad to edit journals tweaking the few examples I could find in "UGS\NX3.0\UGOPEN\SampleNXOpenApplications" however I've since used VB.Net which makes creating and managing forms so much easier.
