I am currently using Wildfire 3.0 and would like to make a thread for a setscrew. I don't want to use the cosmetic feature.

Thanks,
Paul

RE: Threads

When you say 'make a thread for a setscrew' do you mean put a thread onto a model of a set screw...if you do then you need to do a helical sweep

Yes, I would like to put the threads in the model.

Sorry about that.

There is not thread command?

Thanks,
Paul

RE: Threads

Then use the helical sweep....only problem is that it is going to make your file size for that part rather big and consequently increase your regen time as well

Look thru Eng-Tips and MCADCentral for threads on helical sweeps
